The McReavy House Museum of Hood Canal is curating an event on August 16th called the Art Free-for-All! The event will take place at Robin Hood Village in Union from 10:30AM-5:30PM.
Come explore the processes behind various Art, Folk-Craft and Artisan creations that are typical to our area. There will be demonstrations throughout the day, including goat cheese making, flameworking, basket weaving and screen-printing. Joining other vendors, Hama Hama Seafood and Olympic Mountain Ice Cream will offer exquisite food options. Have fun, ask questions, enjoy the local culture! Donations will be welcomed.
Demonstration Schedule:
- Basket Weaving with Mary and Stephanie Hernandez, 11AM-noon
- Flameworking with glass artist Leila Carras, 1-1:30PM
- Goat cheese making with Nick Browne, 2-2:30PM
- Screen-printing with Howard Leggett, 3-3:30PM

The Art Free-for-All occurs in conjunction with Harmony Hill Wellness Retreat Center’s SummerFest & Open House. SummerFest happens on Saturday the 15th, 11AM-4PM, at Harmony Hill in Union. The annual festival features speakers and workshops focused on sustainability and well-being, raising awareness of the center’s work with cancer patients and their loved ones.
