Paranormal Washington shared the results of its McReavy House investigation at October’s YachtHaven member gathering. Its team used various tools of inquiry to record the presence of our disincarnate friends, the resident and loitering spirits of the McReavy mansion.
The team investigated the McReavy House on September 19th, from 8PM-1:30AM.
Set-up
“We always set up base first, which was done in the kitchen. The team had a difficult time with this as we kept having power drains, computer malfunctions, as well as new battery drain. Not uncommon during paranormal investigations, but this was the first time these occurrences happened all at once!
Base is always set up so 2 team members can monitor the DVR system, as well as document and communicate any anomalies from the other members. The IR cameras, tripods, and lots of extension cords were then set up in the following rooms: entry way, stairs, living room, upper hall, upper left and middle bedroom.
The night began with an exploration of the home with EMF (electromagnetic field) readings of all the rooms to determine any possible interference with K2 readings. All were low or at baseline. The theory behind K2 readings is that spirits will use energy to manifest which will cause the K2 meter to light up.
We then proceeded to break up into teams of 2, which rotated hourly to investigate each different area.”
Findings
“We are happy to say that the inauguration of our ghost box was done at McReavy, in the upper left bedroom. The premise behind this box is that the spirits can use the constant sweep of AM or FM bands to communicate in a question or answer session.
There were many different personal experiences ranging from being touched, hearing whispers, footsteps, and banging upstairs in the hall to temperature changes in the room and one investigator being pushed gently going down the stairs.
The ghost box was amazing, we felt we did receive some correct answers to our questions, which you will hear. One of the most fascinating experiences occurred in the upper left bedroom, when a member felt a presence on her left side, was touched, and the temperature dropped 5 degrees on that side. At the same time our DVR recorded a white anomaly.”
